Janiece Gray, MHA, BSW, CPXP (Project Lead) has more than 20 years of experience in patient care, healthcare administration and operations, performance improvement, and patient experience. She is a gifted communicator, consultant, and coach who is passionate about communication and serving patients and families.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bethel University and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Using her Lean training and her Black Belt in Six Sigma, Janiece has not only led performance improvement and patient experience projects and departments in large health systems but she has also developed and led service and performance improvement training programs.
She loves to shadow and coach physicians and care team members on ways to enhance their patient communication. Janiece has not only performed many service culture assessments for organizations, but she has also designed and delivered effective service culture training programs.
She also has recently completed her certification coursework and is sitting for her Associate Certified Coach designation with the International Coach Federation this spring. She was one of the first patient-experienced professionals in the country to obtain her Certified Patient Experience Professional designation in 2016.
She is the author of "Beyond CAHPS: A Guide for Achieving Patient- and Family-Centered Care."
When she’s not coaching, consulting, speaking, or writing, Janiece enjoys traveling. She and her husband and three kids love to adventure all over the world. Since all three of her children are bilingual, Janiece loves to join them on service mission projects in Guatemala near Lake Atitlan.
